About Aromatherapy

The most primitive of the senses, smell connects us directly with our memories, emotions, and instincts.

When we smell something, we are actually absorbing some of its molecules, making aromatherapy a structure of natural medicine.

Aromatherapy is a pleasant and personal selective therapy using Essential Oils and Carrier Oils, blending oils in many different ways for individual needs.

Essential oils

Essential oils are extracted from botanical chemical substances.

They are highly volatile and aromatic oils with distinctions for emotional and psychological uses.

Carrier Oils

Carrier oils help Essential oils blend. They easily infiltrate into the body and face.

Essential oils are highly concentrated, volatile substances and therefore need to be diluted with Carrier oils. Carrier oils do not evaporate when heated.

Rose - Rose damascena

Symbol of love and happiness. The queen of flowers. Increases confidence, tonic to the heart, uplifting to the mind, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, astringent.


Lavender - Lavandula angustifolia

All-purpose oil, used as a great rescuer. Lavender flowers are mainly purple in colour that helps maintain hormone balance and relaxation. Good for muscular aches and pains, burns and acne. Calms the mind.

Roman, Chamomile - Anthemis nobilis

Roman chamomile is one of the safest of essential oils. It helps peaceful and harmonious feelings, muscular aches and pains.


Vetiver - Vetivera zizanioides

Blending with vetiver gives warmth, complexity and tranquility. Balancing effect on the central nervous system, very calming and grounding oil. Used for muscular aches and pains.


Orange - Citras Sinensis

Promotes state of happiness and joy. Brings energy, positive and uplifting feelings. Blood cleanser, regulates the digestive system.


Frankincense - Boswellia Carterii

Frankincense is extracted resin from the Boswellia Carterii tree. The word frankincense is derived from the ancient French name ‘Frankincense’ meaning ‘Pure incense’.

Calming and relaxing, anti-inflammatory, used for muscular pains.

Sweet Majoram - Origanum majorana

Used for medicinal purposes since ancient times. The most powerful aroma for sleeping. Muscular tiredness, aches and poor circulation, promotes inner self-nurturing.

Peppermint - Menthe Piperita

Peppermint has been used by Egyptians, Greeks and Romans from ancient times. Very refreshing oil. Great for calming digestion and travelling. Helps concentration and clarity.

The history and origins of aromatherapy

Essential oils have been used for therapeutic purposes for nearly 6,000 years.

The ancient Chinese, Indians, Egyptian, Greeks, and Romans used them in cosmetics, perfumes, and drugs. Essential oils were also commonly used for spiritual, therapeutic, hygienic, and ritualistic purposes.

Ancient Egypt – 3,000B.C.
East China – date back more than 2,000 B.C
Ancient Roman – Roman army in the region of Nero

Famous Practitioners

There were so many great physicians practioners in history.
Here is just the focus on 2 of the greatest legends.


He was Greek physician and lived in the early 5th century B.C.

His truehearted definition of health has influenced history and is still reflecting on today’s medical industry.

Rene Maurice Gattefosse

He was a French chemist who worked in his family perfumer business.

He was acknowledged as a power of Aromatherapy after his experience of burning his hand into a vat of lavender oil to cool it down. He found that his hand showed healing process rapidly.

Since that happend, he exploared more aromatherapy and published his research in 1928, he coined the word “ aromatherapie” for public sale.
